HBL Bank, Pakistan’s second-largest with 1500 branches, implemented MISYS Equation/DBA as a Host Banking System to enhance remote banking services like ATMs, call centers, POS, internet and mobile banking, kiosks, and branchless banking. MSCL developed RBTS V1.0, an interface enabling communication between the Windows/NT Server-based call center application and the MKI-Equation on AS/400 via TCP/IP. The interface allows the IVR system to send transaction requests to MKI-Equation, with responses routed back over the same network.

This is one part of the National Database & Registration Authority(NADRA) project. National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) has divided overall NIC and National Database project into different sub-projects. NCR was given Data Warehousing, Jaffer Bros. were given data entry. Fauji Foundation was awarded contract for NIC Production with end-to-end automation. This required a development of a highly integrated and complex system. Fauji Foundation after evaluating many options awarded the contract of development and system integration to MSCL.
Under the scope of this project MSCL provided the following services:
MSCL developed the Application Software to print data both in English and Urdu as per specifications given by the client for the purpose of printing NICs.
MSCL defined and implemented PMS, which will record and control the pre-printed NIC sheets, lamination material, receipts, delivery, wastage etc. The system will also prepare Rejection and MIS reports.
This System is developed to ensure quality of NIC Sheet printing, Quality of Lamination and Quality of Die-cutting.
This System monitors the production of different units of the NIC Production system like Printing,Lamination, Die-Cutting and Mailing. The System displays the production statistics through the projection system in the real time dynamic mode.
MSCL has also developed interfaces MSCL developed system and Mailing System Fauji Foundation has acquired from a German Company.

The Union Bank call center is working on PC based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) application. Their management information system is using MKI-Equation application, which is developed in RPG for AS/400. The two applications talking different languages were unable to communicate to complete the call center user’s requests.
MSCL has developed an interface network that provides communication between the Window/NT Server based call center application and the MKI-Equation application on AS/400. This interface provides communication between the two systems using a common TCP/IP protocol.
The call center equipment and AS/400 are connected over a common LAN (local area network) using TCP/IP. Each call center machine, executing the IVR application, is installed with a Windows based DLL. The IVR application calls this DLL and passes on requests for query or transactions to MKI-Equation application. The request reaches to the MKI-Equation via MSCL’s developed interface network and its response is routed to the IVR over the same network.
NCR Corporation, being the prime contractor for Call Center Setup, is highly satisfied with MSCL’s methodology for system development and integration and work done by its team on this project.

Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC) is a joint venture amongst the House of Habib, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), formed in 1989 as a public limited company, for the purpose of assembling, manufacturing and marketing Toyota vehicles in Pakistan. IMC started commercial production in May 1993 and is the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan. Furthermore, IMC has also entered into an agreement for the production and marketing of Daihatsu vehicles with effect from March 2000. Annual sales at IMC grew from 6,802 units in 1995 to 11,249 units in 1999, an increase of 65% during these 5 years. During the same period net turnover grew from 3.87 billion Rupees to 6.96 billion (an increase of nearly 80%) while the after tax profit grew by a very impressive 385%. All this was achieved despite the uncertainty prevalent in the domestic economic environment, strengthening of Yen against the Rupee and a stiff challenge from competition. While IMC has so far excelled in these areas, advent of new players in the auto industry now calls for radical measures to progressively compete against them. With price conscious customers to satisfy and a strategy of gradual price increase to retain market share, the two-fold pressure exerted by a strong Yen and a depreciated Rupee has to be faced by lowering costs and maximizing capacity utilization.
To face these challenges it was imperative to look at the business processes at IMC to identify areas where duplication of activities is taking place so that the same may be removed and the overall efficiency increased. IMC assigned the task of carrying out a Business Process Study to Millennium Systems (Pvt.) Limited (MSCL) with an aim of identifying duplication of activities within IMC Business Processes. The Project Scope was expanded by MSCL to also identify Missing Functionality, Missing Integration, Missing Control and Redundancy within the processes.
For the purpose of achieving these objectives MSCL provided the following services to IMC:
