Introduction

The projects being handled by service organizations world over are becoming increasingly complex. They are impacting almost all functions of the client organization. Also such projects require skills and resources, which are costly, over-committed and demanding. These resources must be managed efficiently to meet project objectives. This increases the importance of Project Management and related training.

Over the time Project management has developed into a sophisticated set of tools and techniques, which can help the managers of today to complete projects on time, within budget and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Furthermore it is important for the service organizations that the top management is skilled enough to manage project-based business in the Multi-Function environment. 

Many projects fail or overrun cost and time estimates because of poor planning, inadequate allocation of resources, inefficient scheduling of time or simply low commitment from top management.  Projects also fail because the projects managers are unable to identify the risk in the earlier phases of the project life cycle.

This Workshop trains the Business professionals, analyze the organizational framework needed for effective project management and identify the techniques that can be used to avoid the costly mistakes that many managers make, when they are handling complex projects. It also teaches them how to be effective project managers.

The class is designed to lay the foundation for the related certifications in Project Management subject. While focusing on A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) - Fourth Edition, process and knowledge areas, the class goes beyond the PMBOK® Guide and brings-in vast experience of the industry specialists in managing real life projects.

Who Should Attend

This Workshop is specially designed for professionals and managers responsible for project management especially in Multi-Projects environment both from public and private sectors. The workshop is also designed to help participants aiming to pass the advance certification examinations in Project Management.

Teaching Methodology

All topics are explained in easy to understand manner and the solution/s to the Project management problems are explained through use of the tools. Thus the knowledge acquired is further consolidated with the help of the case study, which runs throughout the workshop. The Evaluation test at the beginning of the workshop helps participants in accessing their project management skills prior to the workshop. The well-structured evaluation at the end of each topic removes any doubts on the topic taught and Final test at the end of the workshop helps participants in understanding how much they have learnt during the Workshop.

 Each enrolled participant will receive pre-requisite reading material prior to the start of the workshop. 

This material is aimed to provide basic understanding of modern project management concepts so that students are able to get the best out of the workshop.

 This 5- Days workshop starts at 09:00 AM everyday and scheduled to close at 17:30, however the participants are expected to stay late.

 PMI® Registered Education Provider

The Project Management Institute, (PMI®) is the world largest leading project management professional association. It is spread over 125 countries with more than 250,000 members worldwide. PMI®’s project management certification (PMP®) is the world’s most recognized professional credential for individuals associated with project management.

MSCL is the Registered Education Provider for PMI® in Pakistan since 2002. PMI®’s R.E.P. Program is designed to facilitate the ongoing professional development of Project Managers.

 Certification:  The participants will receive the certificate from MSCL with PMI logo. Additionally the participants passing the class examination will be granted 42 Contact Hours* of formal Project Management Education. This enables participants to meet one of the three the key pre-requisite for appearing in PMP examination. 

Program Fee

The fee for the Workshop is Rs.45,000/= per participant. The fee covers reading material, tea/coffee, and meals. Please note that applicants are required to send the program fee with the application form. No separate invoice will be issued.

Discounts are available for single company enrollment of minimum of 6 participants. Please contact the course coordinator for further details. 

Admission Process:

Mail enrollment form filled in by the candidates along with payment through PO/DD or cheque in the name of Millennium Systems & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. MSCL reserve the right to accept or reject the enrollment of the candidates based on the information given in the enrollment form.
